Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa: "The Leopard"


This is one of the most beautiful, relevant and important work in the italian literature. This is a fascinating romance having in the background Italy after its recent unity whose features and contraddictions are still alive. About the "modernity" of this book it has written a lot as well as about its most famous citation: "nothing must change if something has to change".

A romance never boring whose reading is really exciting.

I think that this is one of the rare work in the italian literature with a real international dimension.
