Desidero dedicare questo post alla memoria di J. D. Salinger deceduto ieri all'età di 91 anni. Salinger è stato l'autore del famosissimo libro "Il Giovane Holden", uno dei miei libri più preferiti, che in questo blog ho commentato in passato.

I wish to dedicate this post to the memory of J. D. Salinger who died yesterday. Salinger was the author of the famous bestseller "The catcher in the rye", one of my favourite books, which I have cited in this blog in the past.

I have read this book five times at least. When I have time enough I read it again with the same passion accompanied me when I have read this book for the first time.

This is a basic opera of the american literature of the '900. Simply a masterpiece...

It is difficult to stop reading: to be read all in one go...

This book cannot be absent in a decent private library.

Ho letto questo libro almeno cinque volte. Quando ho tempo torno a rileggerlo con la stessa passione che mi ha accompagnato la prima volta che ho preso in mano questo libro.

Un classico della letteratura americana del '900. Semplicemente un capolavoro.

Difficile interromperne la lettura.

Immancabile in una biblioteca privata degna di questo nome.
